Jenna Fischer's most famous role is that of Pam Beesly in the highly loved TV show The Office. The actress won two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her outstanding performance by the comedy's ensemble.
Her family was based within St. Louis Missouri. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was young, which instilled a love for theater and performing.
She's an actress trained who returned to theater after The Office. She starred in the Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey started the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since become wildly popular, landing within the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads in the first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life The Actor's Life is her first novel, and chronicles the road she took from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actor professionally. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her closest friend, and her experience in The Office.
