Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about her childhood living in "a white bubble." The actress also discusses the impact that this realization has had on the way she raises adoptees who are multi-racial. In an interview, actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her looks didn't bother her, however, after talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of how much different they were. "I asked Meg how she was treated differently when she went out with our parents and those who went out by herself. Meg responded "Oh Yes, all the occasion!" It made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to parents. She became enraged, and she decided to make use of her anger to support her two adopted daughters. Heigl, who has been married to Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
